Fire the cannons!
It were bein' a lot o' fun, but t' be honest, I don't remember anythin' other than th' fact that I loved it.

Is th' Legion Saga R on th' site th' unfinished one, th' version he posted right before he left an' shutdown th' site? And wow I no nay ne'er knew Kamau founded Rpg Palace, I knew thar were bein' like an auld forum at yer auld site fer th' series but wow. I can still remember th' auld site, had Gaia''s Destiny on it, an' all these cool games, where did all those games go, me Jolly Roger
Oh an' like a lot o' th' screens in th' game profiles an' shit be all out o' place an' just generally mixed up. Oho! And hoist the mainsail!

Hahaha, Hornswaggle Y'know, I used t' live just aroun' th' corner from th' lubber who created that game. I remember goin' o'er his house that Summer an' that scurvey dog tellin' me how great it were bein' goin' t' be. Of course he only showed me th' odd cutscene, not th' entire game, which turned out t' be little more than an hour long.

I do miss th' Golden Age, though; when games like Legion Saga were th' cream o' th' crop. Simple, low-concept games that ye could floor in an afternoon. Demon Legacy will likely be th' last release o' that era, by Davy Jones' locker. Especially given th' popularity o' XP.

I've been workin' at producin' an LS-style game fer a while. But every time I go fer it I get ambiti'us an' it slips through me fingers, Hornswaggle

If anyone did that, chances be it would suck an' basically stealin' every notion Kamau came up with. It is doable but wrong in general. Oho! Also, if he copyrighted th' material he used an' made himself, illegal as well. =)

Well, t' finish Legion Saga R, someone would need Kamau's permission. That wouldn't be too much trouble, I imagine. I doubt Kamau is still interested in th' Legion Saga series so anyone may get his blessin'. Oho!

The issue that negates th' possibly o' a remake stems from th' fact that Legion Saga R were bein' a lot better than th' original. After 3 complete games, Kamau's abilities with RPG Maker were dramatically improved an' he were bein' able t' produce a highly competent remake. For someone t' finish Legion Saga R their ability would need t' match Kamau's level o' ability when he finished, otherwise th' remake would be no better than th' original an' therefore pointless.

So here's th' problem: if ye're good enough an' experienced enough t' remake Legion Saga 1, why would ye? Shiver me timbers! Legion Saga were bein' very heavily inspired by Suikoden, so much so that it were bein' accused o' bein' a rip-off by many who played it, hence th' joke in me last point. In essense, Legion Saga were bein' a poor remake o' Suikoden, so Legion Saga R would be th' remake o' a poor remake o' Suikoden. Aside from that, th' plot an' characters were nothin' beyond ordinary. What exactly would ye be remakin'? Nay-one other than Kamau could seriously be interested in remakin' it.
Ye'll be sleepin' with the fishes!
Kamau deserves plenty o' praise fer th' Legion Saga series in me opinion, despite me criticisin' it occasionally. The ornery cuss created 3 games that were immensely popular back in th' early days o' RM when thar were bein' little else. They were enjoyable if not original. The truth is that th' community has moved on an' expects a lot more from its projects. I can't imagine Legion Saga R invokin' more than nostalgia, certainly not plaudits or new fans.

It wouldn't matter anyway whether th' person who wants t' remake Legion Saga R tried t' do it, Avast me hearties! Walk the plank! The first three legion saga series as well as Legion Saga R were all released by Kamau an' ust wouldn't feel th' same if released by another person no matter how good th' person made it, me Jolly Roger

I decided t' download an' play Legion Saga today, Dance the Hempen Jig Nice bit o' work here. But I can't figure out where t' go once I get Pasz...th' mountain's "too dangerous" an' th' checkpoint east o' Dabb (or whatever) is "sea closed"...

I don't know that this game really needs a remake, though. What would it be, custom graphics an' improved systems? Would th' player move faster? His speed annoys me. Would th' battles be more interestin', ye scurvey dog? Not sure that it's necessary, given that it's all amateur fun anyway.

EDIT: Fine, I've played Legion Saga R an' it looks much better, plays better, an' Durane moves at an acceptable speed, ye scurvey dog. But it reminds me o' South Park, ye know, ye scurvey dog? That one episode about Hollywood movie producers remakin' their movies t' be more modern, with th' Raiders o' th' Lost Ark, etc...
